“While complementary and alternative medicines are commonly used among Americans, very little is known about how they are perceived and used by oncology patients.” said James Nicholls, CEO of OncoWell, LLC. “This research will provide valuable insight into cancer patients’ knowledge, behaviors, and attitudes toward CAM as an option to help decrease side effects of cancer therapy.”
Accessible at oncowellness.com, the will explore the likelihood of a cancer patient or caregiver trying a CAM (such as botanical, vitamin, mineral, or enzyme supplements, antioxidants, acupuncture, massage therapy, hypnosis, meditation, yoga, t’ai chi or qi gong) during a particular stage of their illness.
