Olim Technologies Group Remains on the Cutting Edge by introducing TIM (Track, Intervene, Measure).

JANESVILLE, Wis.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- TIM (Patent Pending), a biometric palm scanning system used to uniquely and geographically track emergency room traffic, flag any concern raising behavior and help patients develop a comprehensive care plan is now available. TIM can help increase ER efficiency by reducing wait times, expedite the registration process and help reduce uncompensated care costs.

TIM tracks patients by palm scan or by name and birthdate and logs the scan into the database. Collybus checks for any previous visits for all local emergency departments. If concerning behavior is detected, a pop up will alert the emergency department.

According to a CDC study of the 119.2 million ER visits in 2006, only 15.9 million could be classified as true emergencies. A staggering 11 percent of all non-emergency medical care visits in the U.S. now take place in the ER rather than a doctor’s office or clinic.

“Olim as a company is committed to investing in, and achieving its goal of bringing to the table the best innovative tools and solutions that enhance our product offerings. TIM is one of these tools. It represents the culmination of research, planning and cutting edge product development," said Jon Boumstein, Olim’s CEO.

Collybus' TIM allows emergency departments to set their own thresholds for triggering concern raising behavior. This information is then tracked geographically against other participating hospitals in the area. When a patient is exhibiting concern raising behavior, they may receive better care seeing a primary physician for long-term care. TIM allows your emergency department to accurately identify these patients and assign them a case worker to develop a patient care plan. By identifying these patients, with the help of a case worker, you can reduce repeat visits to the emergency department.

Additional Benefits

  • TIM can reduce high cost/loss associated with uninsured or under insured individuals using emergency services.
  • Save emergency department costs by allocating resources more effectively
  • Biometric scanning sterile, noninvasive and as accurate as retinal scanning
  • Advanced reports track the success of care plans
  • Aid in reducing overall wait time at the emergency room
