President Barack Obama on Tuesday signed H.R. 4302, which implements another 12-month patch to the sustainable growth rate (SGR) payment formula, a day after the Senate passed the measure. In addition to delaying deep Medicare payment cuts to physicians under SGR, the bill delays ICD-10 until at least October 1, 2015. The ICD-10 delay passed despite assurances from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services that the government would not enact further implementation delays.
