A new software interface launched today – – integrates staff assignment information across multiple hospital systems to improve nursing team workflows and deliver a more complete and timely picture of staff/patient assignments.

is a software interface developed for Rauland-Borg’s leading nurse call system, ®. is installed in more than one million acute care beds in 40 countries and is the leading nurse call system helping hospitals and staff to improve workflow, patient satisfaction and communications.

Using , patient/staff information can now be shared across a single front-end to sync electronic medical records, medical devices, RTLS locating systems and mobile phones with staff assignments. By integrating the nurse call staff assignment function across the multiple systems, helps hospital staff deliver quality care and balance the on-duty staff with patient loads.

Under current practice, there is a proliferation of overlapping and duplicate systems. Nursing staff must take the time, and remember, to sign-on and sign-off independently to each system being used. Changes to assignments also must be updated independently on each system, as they happen.

Now, one sign-on via gives access to each of these multiple systems, removing the silos between them and sharing information in a timely way.

“On-duty staff and related patient assignments being shared via remain dynamic and fluid throughout a shift,” said Maureen Pajerski, Rauland’s VP of Marketing and Sales. “Updates to the staffing and patient assignments made in one system will stay in sync across multiple systems as the changes are made. Regardless of whether the initial sign-on is made via or in another system, the staffing assignment information will co-exist across all of the interfaced systems.”

’s ‘one sign-on’ integration eases staff management and provides a single-source point of view for daily assignments. In helping to avoid ‘sign-on fatigue’ can improve staff compliance, increase patient safety and help ensure proper oversight and accountability of needed historical records, she added.

“ revolutionizes the way nurses work and the way nursing teams work together,” said Pajerski. “Nothing happens in the nursing environment until the patient assignment is made. maximizes the time and skills of the nursing teams on-duty and makes the most of electronic medical records by sharing information between systems. Responder does this by managing nurses’ time, balancing workloads, allowing for adjustable shifts, and providing a single source of truth.”
