MedSynergies’ consulting services department is focused on conducting critical assessments of prospective and existing client health care organizations, including physician group practices and hospital-owned physician practices, and providing them with a blueprint to thrive and secure a competitive position in the marketplace.

“The current industry climate is driving practices and health systems to turn to consulting services to assess and identify inefficiencies and get their business operations in top form,” said MedSynergies Vice President of Consulting Services, Marian Dalton McMeans. “MedSynergies is a leader in consulting services, and we are happy to have the opportunity to continually recruit some of the best talent in the industry, allowing us to give our clients a competitive edge.”

Both Garinger and Hartt join the MedSynergies team as managing directors of consulting services. In this role, Garinger will draw upon more than 20 years of experience to lead the company’s clinical integration consulting services and products to support Patient-Centered Medical Home and Accountable Care Organization development.

Garinger most recently served as vice president of electronic records and IT for Baylor Health Care System’s medical group, where he was responsible for the strategy and execution of the electronic health record clinical transformation initiatives.

Prior to his role at Baylor, Garinger was the vice present for a health care claims management and outsourcing services vendor servicing payor and Third-Party Administrator organizations. His past experience also includes founding a health care consulting organization and leading health care engagements with First Consulting Group (now CSC). Garinger received a bachelor’s degree in finance from Purdue University.

Hartt joins MedSynergies to lead the financial advisory services and Management Services Organization strategy development to expand MedSynergies’ portfolio to meet the demands of an evolving industry. During more than 20 years in the industry, Hartt has led many successful in-patient and ambulatory revenue cycle management engagements and other non-labor assessments. She has successfully implemented operational efficiency programs resulting in multimillion dollar savings for her hospital clients.

Previously, Hartt served as director of non-labor practice at Wellspring+Stockamp, where she was responsible for project management and annual recurring expense reduction for acute care hospitals and integrated health care systems. She has also held executive-level positions at VHA Texas, Inc. and Southwest Insurance Services.

Hartt is a graduate of George Mason University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She received her master’s degree in business administration from the Baylor University Hankamer School of Business.
