Medical Device Industry Veteran Doug Kohrs Joins OmniGuide Board of Directors

OmniGuide, Inc., a commercial stage medical device company, today announced that Doug Kohrs has joined its Board of Directors. Mr. Kohrs brings substantial experience in strategy and operational execution as a senior executive in the medical device industry.

Mr. Kohrs was most recently President and CEO of Tornier NV, a publicly traded orthopedics company. Previously, he served as President and CEO of American Medical Systems, a publicly held medical device company that was acquired by Endo Pharmaceuticals Holdings, Inc. Mr. Kohrs also served as Chairman of the Board of American Medical Systems.

During the past 10 years, Mr. Kohrs has served on the board of directors of nine different medical device companies, including ev3, a publicly held medical device company that was acquired by Covidien, and Kyphon, a publicly held medical device company that was acquired by Medtronic.

Mr. Kohrs holds an MBA from Northeastern University, a Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering from Texas A&M University and a Bachelor of Arts in Engineering Sciences from Austin College.
