Louisiana Selects Arcadia Solutions for Healthcare Quality Forum Project

Leading provider of Health IT services leverages experience with private, not-for-profit organization to improve healthcare quality and efficiency in Louisiana

BURLINGTON, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Arcadia Solutions, a leading provider of data-driven Health IT services, announced today it has been selected to provide healthcare quality improvement support to the Louisiana Health Care Quality Forum (LHCQF), a not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving the health of Louisiana citizens.

The LHCQF is a state-designated organization responsible for planning and implementing Louisiana’s health information exchange (HIE) and regional extension center. The organization is well-suited to build and strengthen the state’s Health IT infrastructure and HIE capabilities to produce measureable improvements in healthcare quality, utilization and population health. Coupled with Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) activities, LHCQF can demonstrate a future vision of hospitals, clinicians and patients acting as meaningful users of Health IT. To accelerate the implementation of its quality measures initiatives, LHCQF will work with Arcadia to identify and define a statewide Quality Improvement and Quality Measurement methodology that will integrate the accomplishments of the HIE and regional extension center. Arcadia will also define the Health IT tools necessary to improve the quality of healthcare safety and value to the state’s residents.

“Through our partnership with Arcadia, we aim to advance our quality measurement and improvement initiatives,” said Cindy Munn, Executive Director, LHCQF. “Our shared commitment is to positively impact data and information while guiding Louisiana’s healthcare providers, payers, purchasers and consumers in making informed healthcare decisions. We value Arcadia’s strategic expertise in quality improvement reporting and look forward to building a unique and integrated reporting system for our state.”

LHCQF chose to partner with Arcadia Solutions for its deep experience with similar organizations, such as the Rhode Island Quality Institute and Beacon Programs. Arcadia’s data-driven methodology will enable LHCQF to manage and report data for quality measurements and improvements, access metrics and cost measurements and improve research efforts for the betterment of Louisiana residents.

“Arcadia understands the complex dynamics of Louisiana’s Health IT landscape, particularly in light of having worked with many similar state-level programs in the past,” said Andrew Principe, VP, Healthcare Solutions, Arcadia Solutions. “We feel privileged to have the opportunity to support LHCQF’s journey in Health IT transformation.”
