Kryptiq Ranked Fifth on Portland Business Journal’s List of Most Admired Technology Companies

2011’s inclusion marks Kryptiq’s sixth year on the list

PORTLAND, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Kryptiq Corp. received the fifth spot on Oregon’s Most Admired Technology Company listing from the Portland Business Journal yesterday, the sixth year the company has made the list. Kryptiq joins other distinguished honorees in the top 10, including Intel, WebTrends, Flir Systems, and Integra Telecom. The ranking was determined by the votes of more than 1,800 CEOs across Oregon.

“At the same time that healthcare providers are utilizing smarter technology to provide higher quality care and lower costs, patients are demanding access to their important health data and are taking more responsibility of their day-to-day care,” said Luis Machuca, Kryptiq CEO. “This evolution in the healthcare industry has ideally positioned us to help all involved to create a better care system through easy-to-use technology. We’re honored to be recognized by some of Oregon’s most respected business leaders during a very exciting time for our company.”

Since October 2010, Kryptiq’s Secure Messaging software has enabled physicians on the Surescripts Network to exchange vital health information about mutual patients to help facilitate better overall care. Thanks to a strategic investment in Kryptiq, Surescripts – the nation’s largest e-prescription network – now offers physicians on the network the ability to exchange lab results, discharge summaries and more, no matter which electronic health record (EHR) or technology platform they use.

Kryptiq sales grew more than 50 percent in the last year, with consistent increases in quarterly sales. More than 40,000 physicians at 1,800 healthcare organizations across the country are using Kryptiq’s products for secure messaging, patient portals and electronic prescribing.

Kryptiq has seen increased demand for its healthcare collaboration and messaging software in 2011, including its Automated Clinical Messaging, Online Bill Pay and Patient Portal products. This is largely due to the continued pressure on healthcare organizations to increase efficiency and provide higher customer satisfaction by ensuring patient data can move swiftly and securely.

Customers can also use Kryptiq’s suite of products to meet federal incentives for Meaningful Use of EHRs, providing patients with access to their personal health information, and coordinating patient care as they transition between healthcare providers.

In Oregon, Kryptiq’s customers include Providence Health System, Samaritan Health Services, The Oregon Clinic, Portland InterHospital Physicians Association, GreenField Health System, and Oregon Medical Group.
