SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- IOA’s Board of Directors today announced that Dr. David Werdegar has retired as Chief Executive Officer, and the Board has named J. Thomas Briody, MHSc as the organization’s new President and CEO.
“David’s extraordinary vision and leadership guided IOA to its position as the Bay Area’s most innovative and valuable health care organization for older adults,” said Anthony G. Wagner, Board Chairman of IOA. “Tom’s expertise will further enhance IOA’s ability to meet the evolving needs and preferences of older adults in the Bay Area.”
Tom served as President of the Continuing Care Division of the Catholic Health System of Buffalo, New York. Among his many accomplishments was integrating the independently operated skilled nursing facilities and developing a fully integrated continuum of elder care services that included skilled nursing, home health and community care management.
