Indiana Lakes Quality Partners Implements Clinigence for Population Health Management and Quality Measurement Reporting

Ongoing partnership aims to improve patient outcomes by providing the ACO’s practices with detailed data about current care initiatives Atlanta, January 14, 2014—Clinigence, a next-generation clinical business intelligence technology provider, today announced that Indiana Lakes Quality Partners (ILQP) Accountable Care Organization (ACO) has implemented its technology throughout the organization. With this partnership, ILQP’s 50 primary care providers will have access to detailed, real-time data dashboards which will pinpoint gaps in care and will help the ACO report on 22 specific quality measurement goals. ILQP, a 200-physician, 150-bed subsidiary of Indiana University Health Goshen, began the search for a new vendor to help with its 2013 reporting requirements during the second half of 2013 with the goal of having the solution operational by the end of the year. The organization selected Clinigence because of its proven ability to quickly implement their technology without disruption to current work, extract data from disparate EHRs, and provide easy-to-understand, real-time reports that could show where gaps in care were occurring. Additionally, Clinigence’s reports provided a baseline for each provider’s current efforts, so that in future years the organization could show improvements in outcomes and cost. “Our organization believes in patient-centered care along with physician-driven quality efforts,” said Dr. Larry Allen, CMO of Indiana University Health Goshen. “Clinigence understands that harnessing discrete data into digestible reports is the key to population health management, which is the new frontier for healthcare. We are excited about the possibilities of being able to use this data to change habits and reduce the cost of healthcare, while improving outcomes.” In addition to meeting current ACO reporting requirements, ILQP plans to leverage the data to take on more risk-based contracts in the future. It will also use the data to test and refine clinical and financial initiatives which will help build organization-wide best practices. The goal will be to spread innovation across the ACO so each practice meets the three pillars of the “triple aim.” “Indiana Lakes Quality Partners is a visionary organization which realizes that population health management is here to stay and a key way to improve our current healthcare model,” said Kobi Margolin, CEO of Clinigence. “We are thrilled that ILQP is using our technology to aid the organization in meeting ACO goals. We look forward to working closely with them to ensure they meet all of their goals for improving healthcare.” About Indiana Lakes Quality Partners Indiana Lakes Quality Partners is an Accountable Care Organization in North Central Indiana with both commercial and CMS contracts.
