iMDsoft, a leader in clinical information systems, announced the release of myAnesthesia, a powerful new cloud-based, native-mobile solution for electronic anesthesia documentation featuring a user interface designed specifically for iPads. myAnesthesia simplifies and shortens the reimbursement cycle for anesthesiologists by ensuring that all required data is present and complete, minimizing rejections. The system streamlines the documentation process and improves the legibility, completeness, access and accuracy of anesthesia records. As a cloud-based service, myAnesthesia has no hardware or software requirements for hospitals or surgery centers, and no technical knowledge is required for installation or use.

myAnesthesia introduces a new level of mobility to anesthesiologists with an advanced solution for the documentation, management and secure distribution of case information as necessary to billers, hospitals, pharmacies and anesthesia groups. iMDsoft developed myAnesthesia in consultation with academic, large and single facility practices, with anesthesiologists’ workflow in mind. The advanced platform offers an intuitive solution that makes case documentation and reimbursement easier than ever before. Transfer of care in the middle of a case is simple with myAnesthesia: anesthesiologists send the record to myAnesthesia’s private-cloud-platform, and it is immediately available for other providers to access on their iPads.

myAnesthesia will be introduced initially to the US market, and will be launched jointly by Anesthesia Business Consultants (ABC) and iMDsoft. ABC is the largest physician billing and practice management company in the US that specializes exclusively in the practice of anesthesia and pain management. Their clients will be the first to benefit from myAnesthesia, which will interface directly with ABC’s billing system, F1RST

“The introduction of myAnesthesia continues iMDsoft’s history of innovation and leverages our 15 years of anesthesiology and critical care expertise. It provides anesthesiologists with an invaluable tool that allows them to easily document anesthesiology cases, wherever they are located, and significantly eases the laborious process of anesthesia billing – all with no capital investment,” said David Sides, CEO of iMDsoft. ”Accurate and legible patient records minimize the incidence of errors, resulting in increased patient safety. Using myAnesthesia results in fewer rejected claims, faster reimbursement and increased charge capture.”

The solution will be demonstrated at ASA in Washington, D.C. from October 13to 15.
