IFMC Names e-MDs a Preferred Electronic Health Record Vendor

Company selected by Iowa HITREC to achieve meaningful use of EHRs

AUSTIN, Texas, July 19 /PRNewswire/ -- e-MDs, an industry leader in the development and implementation of electronic health record (EHR) and practice management (PM) solutions, announced they have been chosen for the IFMC's Health Information Technology Regional Extension Center (HITREC) Preferred Vendor List. e-MDs was identified through a four-month vetting process conducted by the IFMC HITREC and is one of six named vendors that will facilitate adoption and implementation of certified EHR technology over the next two years.  e-MDs scored well regarding functionality, pricing and a live demonstration analysis and was also recognized for its ability to aide in the reception of incentive payments for meaningful use that the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services will begin providing in 2011. Iowa practices and clinics choosing to participate and implement an EHR will receive technical support and consultation from the IFMC HITREC.  

e-MDs has participated in several HITREC programs across the country and has been selected as a preferred vendor in several states.
