CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Huron Consulting Group (NASDAQ: HURN), a leading provider of business consulting services, today announced that Judith L. Bachman has joined the Company as a managing director in its Huron Education practice focused on academic medical centers (AMC).

At Huron Education, Bachman, RN, BSN, MSN, CNAA, will be drawing on 30 years of experience to support AMC clients in all aspects of strategy development, performance improvement and operations redesign. Bachman joins Huron Education from Thomas Jefferson University and Thomas Jefferson University Hospital (TJU/TJUH), where she served as senior vice president for Strategic Initiatives and was responsible for campus wide strategic planning efforts, clinical service line development, and management of major strategic initiatives and network relationships.
Bachman has provided leadership at hospitals, health systems, and academic medical centers specializing in managing large strategic initiatives and business and network development for clinical, educational and research missions. Prior to TJU/TJUH, she served as senior partner and managing director of Computer Science Corporation’s Clinical Consulting Practice assisting leading academic health systems. During her career, Bachman has also developed a wide range of management methodologies for mission-based institutions, redesigned medical schools, and served as a chief nursing officer.
