Hospitals team with Culinary Institute to spice up menus

As more hospitals try to revamp patient menus with tastier, and healthier, food options, the Culinary Institute of America is lending a hand, reports the Associated Press. It is offering its first-ever course on cooking for healthcare patients, which teaches students the challenges of serving people with severe dietary restrictions and how to create higher-end hospital food. According to Lynne Eddy, who teaches Food Service Management in Health Care, "food that is both good and nutritious can help patients heal, as well as boost their morale," notes the AP. Article
