Hospitals pursue young fundraisers, ask employees to donate

As many hospitals around the country struggle with reduced reimbursements, some are trying new fundraising tactics to bring in the dollars. For instance, in a departure from tradition, Saint Clare's Hospital in Wisconsin specifically is seeking young board members to bring in fresh ideas in fundraising campaigns, reports the Wausau Daily Herald. Meanwhile, other hospitals are targeting their employees to engage in fundraising efforts with voluntary pay deductions. Community Memorial Health System in California is requesting 2,000 employees to consider donating portions of each paycheck for as long as five years, reports the Ventura County Star.
