Hospitals feel the heat (wave)

In addition to the national heat wave sending patients to hospitals, Veteran Affairs hospitals in the Dakotas are feeling the burn of above-average temperatures on their resources. The VA hospital in Fargo, N.D., postponed more than 50 surgeries because of a severe heat wave that affected the cooling system and therefore sterile environment, reports the Associated Press. In Sioux Falls, S.D., two ICU patients were transferred to another hospital because of air conditioning concerns. Article
