Health execs report moderate salary increases

Base salaries for healthcare executives and managers increased an average of 3.1 percent at health systems and 2.7 percent at hospitals, according to a report by consulting firm Sullivan, Cotter and Associates, Inc. These numbers are consistent with the budgeted 2011 salary increases for health systems and hospitals of 2.9 percent, according to yesterday's press release.

The latest data falls in line with last month's report by consulting firm Integrated Healthcare Strategies that indicated healthcare executives on average this year saw salary increases of 3 percent at healthcare systems and 2.8 percent increases at independent and subsidiary hospitals.
