Greenway Medical Technologies Experiences Record Setting Third-Quarter Growth

CARROLLTON, Ga., May 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Greenway Medical Technologies Inc., a leading provider of integrated electronic health records (EHR), practice management and interoperability functionality, experienced a 52 percent increase in sales bookings for the third fiscal-quarter 2008, as compared to the same fiscal period in 2007. The increase in sales for the third fiscal-quarter, which ended on March 31, 2008, marked the company's largest ever third-quarter gain.

Greenway(R) continues to experience unprecedented growth due in large part to the widespread adoption of PrimeSuite(R), Greenway's single-database EHR, practice management, and interoperability solution, which has helped streamline the clinical, financial and administrative workflows for more than 18,000 users nationwide, in more than 30 specialties and subspecialties. Significant growth has occurred within the OB/GYN market, where Greenway has become the nation's largest EHR provider to OB/GYN practices that utilize integrated, single-database EHR, practice management and interoperability functionality, built on the Microsoft(R).NET framework. Greenway currently serves more than 8,000 users within the OB/GYN specialty.

PrimeSuite 2007 R2 was the first EHR to be certified by CCHIT(R) based on 2007 Ambulatory Certification requirements. In addition, Greenway recently received the 2007 "Best in KLAS" award in the ambulatory EMR category for practices of between six and 25 physicians and is a key proponent for the advancement of community-based EHR initiatives, through which health systems within a community are standardizing their technology so that critical health and patient information can be shared between medical facilities in a timely and secure manner.

"Toshiba is proud to be part of Greenway's integrated EHR solution, which incorporates our innovative laptop computers and Tablet PCs as the hardware component enabling healthcare professionals to access and record vital patient information," said Jeff Barney, vice president of marketing for Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc. Digital Products Division. "We look forward to continuing the prosperous relationship with Greenway as we work together to advance the healthcare information technology (HIT) marketplace."

"Our growth serves as a testament to both a first-class product in PrimeSuite, as well as a dedicated team of professionals who work tirelessly to advance Greenway's role as a leading provider of integrated HIT and EHR technology," said Justin Barnes, vice president of marketing and government affairs at Greenway Medical. "Our goal is to continue providing our customers with the most integrated, effective and revenue-enhancing HIT solutions while exploring new opportunities for growth and aligning with strategic partners who are equally determined to succeed."
