Hospital Solution the Latest in Centricity Family to Receive ONC-ATCB 2011/2012 Complete EHR Certification

BARRINGTON, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- GE Healthcare is pleased to announce that GE Centricity Enterprise version 6.6.3.2 is officially 2011/2012 compliant and was certified as a Complete EHR on October 28, 2010 by Drummond Group Inc. Drummond Group made the designation in its capacity as an Office of the National Coordinator – Authorized Temporary Certification Body (ONC-ATCB) in accordance with the applicable Eligible Hospital certification criteria adopted by the U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS).

“Coming on the heels of our ONC-ATCB certification for Centricity Practice Solution, and Centricity Advance, the certification of Centricity Enterprise further reinforces our commitment to our customers and the communities they serve,” said Jim Corrigan, Vice President and General Manager of GE Healthcare IT. “Our next steps are to certify Centricity Enterprise 6.9 for both Eligible Hospital and Eligible Provider.”

Even before it’s announced at the biannual event sponsored by GE Healthcare IT, the certification reaffirms GE’s commitment to achieving this status across its Centricity product family.

"Montefiore Medical Center has been a long-term customer and partner of GE and a leader in the use of EHR Technology to support the delivery of meaningful care to our patients,” said Jack Wolf, Montefiore’s Chief Information Officer. “We are excited to hear about the certification of Centricity Enterprise. This is a critical step in our mutual objective to ensure that Montefiore is well positioned to demonstrate Meaningful Use in 2011."
