Rockville, MD (PRWEB) September 25, 2007 -- Ariadne announced today that ExonHit Therapeutics has extended its license of Pathway Studio. ExonHit uses proprietary technology and Pathway Studio to research alternative RNA splicing in collaboration with drug development partners. ExonHit adoption of Pathway Studio validates the flexibility of the tool to support research in emerging applications.

Pathway Studio extracts functional relationships of genes, proteins, small molecules, cell processes, diseases, etc. from the scientific literature and delivers it to scientists as a database amenable to computational analysis for hypotheses validation and experimental data interpretation.

"We integrate Pathway Studio into our processes for target discovery in order to identify pathways of interest and to prioritize splicing events that we will explore further in our research programs. Pathway Studio is a valuable tool in our therapeutic and diagnostic discovery activities," says John R. Jaskowiak, Executive VP of Business Development at ExonHit.

"Pathway Studio is a powerful tool for target discovery, enabling users to create custom pathways from specific PubMed queries, and custom databases for particular diseases and treatments," said John Clouston, Sales Director at Ariadne. "Our customers use Pathway Studio to develop internal resources, tailored to advance their research of particular organisms, diseases, information sources, biological objects, etc."

Pathway Studio comes with ResNet database of over 1,25 million functional relationships extracted from the whole PubMed, and MedScan module for automatic PubMed processing and information extraction. It is available as Windows and web-based application and scales from a single-user desktop through enterprise-wide installation.
