Employer-benefits survey notes health plan trends

United Benefit Advisors released the results of a large survey of employers and health plans. It showed that the majority of employers believe that "all hospitals, physicians, and insurers will be required to publicly disclose all cost and quality information in advance of purchasing care or purchasing insurance."

Employers also expect more control over benefits to gravitate into the hands of employees, with most expecting to "have total control to allocate their money toward take-home pay, health benefits, retirement or savings plans, or non-health benefits."
