“I left Pitney Bowes in order to dedicate myself to effecting change in the US healthcare system. After serving for three years as Chief Human Resources officer at Pitney Bowes, and in multiple executive leadership positions for nearly 20 years, where I drove an award winning culture of health and wellness, it became clear that engaging and empowering employees and their families to be active participants in their health and care is essential to solving the healthcare crisis in this country,” said Mr. Critelli. “Dossia has created a solution that puts individuals in control of their health, and it’s an honor to have the opportunity to advance this cause.”

As CEO of Pitney Bowes, Mr. Critelli’s leadership and vision led to an 11 year period of unprecedented transformation. Prior to taking the position as CEO, Mr. Critelli served as Chief Human Resources Officer, where he revolutionized the standard for HR excellence by implementing numerous innovative programs to encourage a culture of health and achieve better value for healthcare spending. These initiatives included extensive wellness and prevention programs, on-site and near-site medical care for employees, and value based health plan designs.

Mr. Critelli now brings his extensive expertise to Dossia as Chief Executive Officer, where he will accelerate and refine Dossia’s growth strategy. This comes at a pivotal time as Dossia advances beyond its original Founder group. Mr. Critelli succeeds Colin Evans as CEO, who has led the Company through its founding years. Mr. Evans helped Dossia navigate through multiple and complex market and environmental challenges and built the team that created a leading-edge and secure health record platform. He has been a thought leader with respect to patients' rights to their health data, as well as an effective advocate for a legal and regulatory framework within which Dossia can now securely operate.

According to Dossia Board Chairman Craig Barrett, “We are looking forward to building on Dossia’s early success to bring to market the next generation of Personal Health Record Platforms that tackle individuals’ most pertinent health issues, with a focus on enabling family caretakers to better manage their family’s health, wellness and chronic conditions. Though Dossia began as a solution for employers, we are pleased to be expanding our personal health solutions to other healthcare stakeholders."

“The addition of Mike Critelli as CEO and Craig Barrett as Board Chairman will better position Dossia to advance its platform to the next level and achieve an unprecedented impact on the US healthcare system,” said Dossia COO Steve Munini. “I am confident that under their leadership, we will continue to raise the bar on what the industry has already deemed as the next generation of Personal Health Records.”

Dossia was founded in 2006 under the guidance of Craig Barrett, with Mike Critelli as its Board chairman beginning in February, 2007. With the support of the Dossia Founder Group, which includes AT&T, Applied Materials, BP America, Cardinal Health, Celgene, Intel, Pitney Bowes, sanofi-aventis, Vanguard Health Systems and Walmart, Dossia has created a portable, private and personal health record system in order to empower individuals to take better control of their health and healthcare.
