David Stordy Named President of Golden LivingCenters

Golden Living has named David Stordy President of Golden LivingCenters with responsibility for the operations of 304 Skilled Nursing Facilities in 21 states. Golden LivingCenters is one of the largest operators of Skilled Nursing Facilities in the country.

In his new role, Stordy will guide the Golden LivingCenters as they focus on identifying and meeting the evolving healthcare needs of the communities they serve.

Stordy, who joined Golden Living in 2008, previously was Senior Vice President of Operations for the Eastern Region of Golden LivingCenters, and earlier was a Division President of Golden LivingCenters.

“Under David’s leadership, we will be able to more effectively focus and direct our management resources in meeting the challenges of today’s highly competitive and changing healthcare environment,” said Neil Kurtz, M.D., President and CEO of Golden Living. “As a result, our patients and residents should benefit from enhanced levels of quality and service.”

Stordy is a well-respected leader with an extensive management and operations background in post-acute care and skilled nursing. Prior to joining Golden Living, Stordy was Senior Vice President of the Northeast Division for SunBridge Healthcare. Before SunBridge, he worked for Kindred Healthcare where he was Southeast Regional Senior Vice President and a Director of Operations.

Stordy is a licensed nursing home administrator, and served as the Executive Director of Greenbriar Terrace Healthcare, a 300-bed, JCAHO accredited nursing center in Nashua, New Hampshire.

Stordy earned an Associate of Science Degree from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Sciences, a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts Lowell, and a Master’s Degree in Community Social Psychology from the University of Massachusetts Lowell.
