VIRGINIA BEACH, Va., Nov. 16, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Consumers, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders of America's healthcare delivery system are ushering in a new era of healthcare for the 21st century. "Clinical Integration: A Roadmap to Accountable Care" is a new literary work that is grounded in research, industry thought leadership and offers novel ideas for healthcare executives to consider in planning their strategies for how to approach new partnerships and initiatives for engagement in clinically integrated networks and accountable care organizations. The book builds off its first edition that focused on Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs), now with a stronger perspective on the importance of clinical integration programs. Ken Yale, DDS, JD joined the original authors, bringing significant expertise in managed care, technology innovation, comparative effectiveness research, regulatory matters, and the national healthcare policy arena.

One of the most comprehensive and up-to-date works on the market regarding clinical integration and many issues of importance to establishing clinically integrated networks, this book has been heralded as key literature for healthcare executives and operators mapping their organization's course for the next 2-5 years amidst today's reform-driven healthcare environment.

John E. Brown, CEO for Cardiology Consultants, Ltd., said, "This book clearly lays the groundwork so a healthcare administrator or physician can learn the basic principles and the new language that will be necessary to guide our organizations through this new challenge."

This book is timely and can provide fresh insights to support development of clinically integrated networks and public and private sector ACO initiatives.

T. Braxton McKee, JD, Partner & Healthcare Chair for Kaufman & Canoles, P.C., noted, "This book provides a very thorough discussion of all the pertinent issues giving the reader the knowledge base that he needs to navigate the shark infested waters facing healthcare providers and their advisors today."
