The federal government will take the next step in expanding its quality improvement organization program. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services announced it will launch two projects that focus on supporting and scaling quality improvement innovations. The projects will allow Quality Innovation Network-Quality Improvement Organizations to collaborate with healthcare providers and/or partners to compete for 28 two-year special innovation project awards that fall within two topic categories totaling $8 million.
