Cielostar Names Dr. John Reynolds CEO

MINNEAPOLIS, Sept. 13, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Cielostar, a nationwide healthcare payment and benefit technology company based here, formerly known as OutsourceOne, has named Dr. John Reynolds as its Chief Executive Officer.  Reynolds succeeds William Mehus, the company's founder, who becomes Executive Chairman and remains heavily involved in the company's growth and strategic direction.

As CEO, Reynolds will focus on bringing more services to Cielostar's nationwide customer base that is capitalizing on the healthcare consumerism movement and emerging technology, including private exchanges.

Reynolds has joined Cielostar after leading the successful sale of the FIS Healthcare Division to Lightyear Capital just last month. In his role as president of FIS Healthcare, Government and Biller Solutions, he was responsible for achieving a market leadership position (#1 or #2 nationally) in all business lines. His responsibilities included several companies acquired by FIS, as well as other internally developed products and services.

Prior to joining FIS, Reynolds was senior vice president and business director for Institutional Trust & Custody, Benefits Consulting and Health Benefits Services at Wells Fargo & Co. He has over 28 years of banking, healthcare, benefit consulting and payment technology experience. Previously he managed Wells Fargo & Co.'s Global Trust & Custody business and was also responsible for Bryan, Pendleton, Swats & McAllister, LLC, an employee benefits consulting business with a national client base. Earlier, he managed sales and customer service within the Global Cash Management department of Mellon Bank Corporation in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Reynolds holds a bachelor's degree in economics, aeronautical science and speech communications from the University of Minnesota and a master's degree in management and administration from Metropolitan State University in St. Paul, Minnesota. He earned his Ph.D. in organization and management from Capella University in Minneapolis

A frequent speaker at national healthcare and financial services conferences and he has published numerous articles on consumer directed healthcare, B2B healthcare payment technology, accountable care organizations, treasury management, electronic commerce, customer loyalty and related topics.
