The American Board of Anesthesiology recently decided to revoke certification for physicians who participate in lethal injection in capital punishment, according to research firm The Hastings Center. Currently, 34 states that have the death penalty allow lethal injections, 33 of which allow physicians to participate. Other medical boards may consider similar measures. Press release
