Axolotl Provides Complete Interoperability, Community-Wide Virtual Health Record and EMR for the Centegra Physician Network
SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Centegra Health System, the region’s leading healthcare provider serving the areas of McHenry and Woodstock, Illinois, and Axolotl Corp., the nationwide leader in health information exchange services and solutions, today announced that Centegra chose Axolotl to provide the HIE capabilities in launching the Centegra Physician Network, a health information technology sharing program that creates the region’s first-ever Health Information Exchange (HIE). The program also provides local physicians with access to cutting-edge Electronic Health Records (EHR) and Electronic Practice Management (EPM) systems that will improve quality and healthcare delivery.
Powered by Axolotl's Elysium® Exchange platform, provided by Centegra Physician Network, participating physicians and hospitals will be able to better share and exchange life-saving medical information and patient histories seamlessly through a highly secure electronic network. Physicians can communicate directly from their EMR and exchange information without the use of a drop box, agent or any specialized hardware device in their practice - sharing referrals, laboratory results, radiology reports, and other patient data instantly and securely. Physicians not already on an electronic system can quickly and easily participate in the Centegra Physician Network using Axolotl's Elysium 9, a CCHIT Certified® 2008 Ambulatory EHR. Additionally, the Elysium Virtual Health Record (VHR) will provide all authorized physicians with single-click access to aggregated patient data from across the entire continuum of care. Furthermore, Centegra Physician Network will enable participating physicians with existing EMRs to connect and collaborate – NextGen interfaces are already underway.
