Cautela Labs is one of only 22 Assessors in the U.S. approved to provide services using the HITRUST CSF, a comprehensive security framework that addresses the multitude of security, privacy and regulatory challenges facing healthcare organizations in order to comply with healthcare (HIPAA, HITECH), third party (PCI, COBIT) and government (NIST, FTC) regulations and standards. As a HITRUST CSF Assessor, Cautela Labs is to provide trained resources as well as provide solutions to help healthcare organizations pass compliancy audits.

Cautela Labs went through an extensive screening process to demonstrate proficiency and the resources to help healthcare organizations meet compliance goals and protect information. By adopting the CSF, Cautela Labs can better protect its customers' electronic information assets and build greater trust and efficiencies in the electronic flow of information within the healthcare system.

Not only can Cautela Labs assess compliance and document corrective action plans, it also provides a comprehensive portfolio of Security as a Service solution for resellers and end-users on-site and in the cloud to help organizations control costs, improve risk management, enhance decision making, and drive fast remediation for day-to-day security incidents.

Cautela Labs' Security Operation Center (SOC) and its staff of Security Engineers assist in allocating the right resources against dangerous threats, and provide consistency in handling those threats and policies across an organization so customers can have one consistent view of their security posture.

"The healthcare industry has become a prime target for data breaches, patient data theft, and a challenge to meet the increasingly complex compliance regulations," said Nancy Wilson, Vice President Compliance and Security Services. "Cautela Labs provides organizations with all the documentation and the corrective measures needed to pass and stay in compliance with the IT portion of a compliance audit."

The HITRUST framework will be built into everything Cautela Labs does. Managed Services Providers that do not currently offer security services specific to healthcare can now leverage Cautela Labs to attract new clients as well as eliminate the need to invest in a cost-prohibitive security program of their own.
