BioSurplus Taps Jackie Townsend as CMO

SAN DIEGO, Nov. 15, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- BioSurplus, Inc. today announced the appointment of Jackie Townsend Konstanturos as Chief Marketing Officer.  Townsend will oversee all sales and marketing activities, and focus on the company's plans to significantly expand its business and service offerings.

Townsend has over 25-years of experience in marketing and positioning companies to take leadership roles in their industries. She founded The Townsend Agency in 1993 to assist companies in branding, sales and public relations with the ultimate goal of gaining market share.  She grew The Townsend Agency to 100 people and subsequently sold it in 2007.  

Townsend has helped large companies like Toshiba, Fujitsu/ICL, and Dow Chemical to integrate new products and services into their brand and enter their subsequent marketplaces. She has assisted once small companies like Qualcomm and HNC Software to become large publicly traded entities.

Townsend earned a Master of Science from Wright State University, graduating summa cum laude. She received two bachelor's degrees – one in psychology and one in liberal studies – from California State University, Long Beach.
