ApeniMED successfully completed all critical integration tests as part of the Electronic Submission of Medical Documentation (esMD) Program from CMS.
As a certified HIH, ApeniMED now officially offers esMD services with ApeniMED eAudit. This service offers providers and supporting vendors a secure, efficient solution to electronically respond to RAC, MAC, CERT, or PERM audit requests from CMS based upon the latest Nationwide Health Information Network (NwHIN) CONNECT standards. The esMD Program was designed to automate the CMS audit response process, eliminating paper-based workflows including the printing and mailing of physical documentation. ApeniMED eAudit will enable healthcare providers to submit audit responses electronically with tracking to ensure records are received and processed.
