The National Healthcare Career Network () announced today that the American Medical Group Association () has joined the NHCN to connect employers with high-quality physicians and surgeons. More than 125,000 medical doctors practice in AMGA member organizations, delivering healthcare services for 130 million patients in 49 states.

“The NHCN is an ideal partner for AMGA because it aligns with our mission to provide first-class support for our members’ important contributions to healthcare delivery throughout our nation,” said Donald W. Fisher, Ph.D., CAE, AMGA president and chief executive officer. “As we vetted potential partners for our career center, it became clear that the finest healthcare associations have chosen to be part of the NHCN because of its service quality, innovative solutions, and deep penetration of the healthcare sector.”

NHCN vice president, Terri Pla, added, “Bringing AMGA onboard is very exciting to us. It not only adds a very impressive brand to our network of nearly 300 associations, it provides employers using the NHCN with access to highly qualified physicians and surgeons in a variety of specialties.”

AMGA’s career center as part of the NHCN is scheduled to launch in November. Pla said, “With the shortage of physicians throughout our country, we know that employers will welcome the opportunity to connect with the top talent represented in AMGA’s diverse membership base.”

The American Medical Group Association represents medical groups, including some of the nation's largest, most prestigious medical practices, independent practice associations, and integrated healthcare delivery systems.
