Aethon Will Showcase Industry’s Only Complete Delivery and Tracking System for Hospital Pharmacies at ASHP Midyear Conference in Anaheim
ANAHEIM, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Aethon, the nation’s leading developer of hospital robots, will showcase the healthcare industry’s only complete delivery and tracking system available to health system pharmacies at the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) Midyear Conference. The conference begins today and continues through Dec. 8 at the Anaheim Convention Center.
Aethon has developed the first completely automated chain-of-custody solution for medications. Named MedEx, this advanced tracking system can be added to Aethon’s autonomous TUG robots so as to not only perform the physical delivery, but also automatically and accurately record the transaction. These features allow hospital pharmacies to know the real-time status of any medication delivery. MedEx utilizes passive RFID, barcodes, biometrics, remote monitoring and secure carts transported by TUG robots.
