ActiveHealth Management’s Integrated Member Engagement Website Wins Gold Web Health Award

MyActiveHealth Recognized for User Experience, Creativity and Design

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- ActiveHealth Management (ActiveHealth®) today announced that MyActiveHealthSM, ActiveHealth’s integrated member engagement website, won the 2010 Gold Web Health Award in the category of Portal/Gateway Website. An independent panel of judges ranked entries from national, state and local health-related organizations based on user experience, content, design and creativity.

MyActiveHealth offers members personalized resources to help them take action to improve their health. It features full integration with ActiveHealth’s traditional programs, including the CareEngine® System, Active Disease ManagementSM and Active Lifestyle CoachingSM, and ensures that members have access to targeted tools based on their health needs and preferences.

As members update their information on MyActiveHealth, data is fed directly into their individual clinical profile in the CareEngine. Instant analysis identifies opportunities to improve health. Members receive that information on MyActiveHealth in the form of Health Actions, a customized and prioritized health “to do” list. Health Actions may include information on potentially serious gaps in care as well as lifestyle and wellness topics to show each member what they can do to improve their health. Members who need help managing chronic conditions or lifestyle risks will find interactive web-based tools that support their relationships with nurses and health coaches and help them reach their health goals

Additional features on MyActiveHealth:

  • ActiveHealth’s integrated Personal Health Record (PHR) and Health Risk Assessment (HRA) help build a more complete clinical profile in the CareEngine for each member.
  • Secure messaging so that members can communicate with their Disease Management nurse coaches, making it easy to stay connected between appointments. Nurse coaches can send follow-up items to members and assign homework to be completed on MyActiveHealth.
  • Online digital coaching modules offer a convenient way for members to work on their health goals at their convenience. Members can use online coaching tools to help manage chronic conditions and change lifestyle behaviors. The interactive coaching modules help members build a personal plan, access support and track their progress. The coaching tools can be used in addition to telephonic coaching or on their own.

“MyActiveHealth was built to deliver tools to help members manage their conditions, lower their health risks, and adopt healthier habits in a way that is both fun and engaging. Receiving a Gold Web Health Award validates that we are delivering those tools and empowering members through a truly outstanding website,” said Gregory Steinberg, MD, CEO and President of ActiveHealth.

The website is available in English and Spanish. Additional resources available to all members include an appointment calendar; health tools and trackers, including a Body Mass Index (BMI) calculator; and educational videos and reading materials.
