Health technology company Innovaccer launched a new platform that seeks to make it easier for insurers to manage risk adjustment and quality improvements.
March 12, Innovaccer unveiled the 360-Degree Gap Closure Solution, which assist payers in improving coding accuracy and patient outcomes. The tool comes at a time when the industry is under significant scrutiny from regulators over coding practices.
The platform enables better engagement across different care settings, greater automation and data governance, Innovaccer said. Health plans can deploy one-click campaigns that address care gaps in a way that reaches provider offices, pharmacies and home healthcare.
“We are bringing a much-needed shift in how payers approach risk and quality,” said Abhinav Shashank, co-founder and CEO at Innovaccer.
Innovaccer said its solution is designed to break down solutions between tools, manual processes and other solutions, which can create risks around compliance, increase costs and drive inefficiencies. Through its platform, payers are able to share data directly with providers in their electronic health records.
The platform is designed to address care gaps proactively rather than reactively by leaning on prospective, concurrent and retrospective reviews, according to the announcement.
It also arms users with real-time analytics and workflows supported with artificial intelligence.
“Instead of piecing together multiple vendors and solutions, health plans can now close gaps efficiently across the entire care journey, whether at a provider’s office, in pharmacies, or through at-home test kits, all with real-time data integration and automation," Shashank said.
