Professionals looking to advance their careers won’t have to do it alone, with plenty of opportunities for career development and networking at the Healthcare Financial Management Association 2016 Annual National Institute in Las Vegas.
Whether you are planning for the future and want to know how to take the next steps in your career or want to take a more proactive approach to creating new opportunities, HFMA is ready to help with its Career Center. Just visit the HFMA booth in the exhibit hall.
The Center will provide you with a chance to get your career-related questions answered, get a skills check-up and learn how to make important career connections. All services are complimentary. The center will offer professional headshots, resume reviews and career coaching.
Participants can receive guidance on developing a career plan, learn how to build a strategic network, receive tips on how to juggle the work-life balance, get ideas on developing staff into a top-notch team, and come away with checklists, pamphlets and fliers with facts about new standards, requirements, certifications, and education and training resources.
HFMA will also offer Career Skills Early Riser Sessions to provide tools and know-how, both by learning from experts and engaging in peer-to-peer conversations.
For those new to the healthcare finance field, there will be an ANI Early Careerist Networking event on Monday, June 27, from 4-5 p.m. in the exhibit hall.
And there will be numerous networking opportunities for all attendees. Those begin with the opening reception on Sunday, June 26, from 6-8 p.m. in the exhibit hall. ANI first-timers will have a chance to network during a special meet and greet in the hall. There will be a post welcome reception from 8-11 p.m. at Tao, located in the Venetian.
On Monday, June 27, join more than 100 of the world’s hottest celebrities, athletes and legends, at an event at Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum at the Venetian. And on Tuesday from 6-10 p.m., the association will host an evening to celebrate the Legacy of Leadership. Other networking opportunities will take place at the exhibit hall lunches and receptions, at interactive innovation labs, and at daily certification and forum networking lounges for HFMA-certified members.
