Digital health company Solera Health is expanding its weight management network in a newly announced partnership with Noom.
The partnership will bring two programs to Solera’s network: GLP-1 companion program Noom Weight and the Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP). The DPP is U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Full Plus-recognized, according to the Sept. 1 announcement.
Noom will also add a GLP-1 companion program to the network at no extra costs to members through the collaboration.
“Every addition to our network must clear a high bar, and Noom has done so with its strength of evidence,” said Kris Heinzen, Solera Health chief product officer, in a statement. “The beauty of this integration is how it fits into the broader network architecture, where the right program finds the right person without adding another vendor relationship for health plans and employers to manage. That's the whole premise of our curated network: choice without complexity.”
Noom’s programs boast success rates among members—with 82% of Noom Weight members losing 5% or more of body weight at one year and 64% of DPP patients preventing or delaying Type 2 diabetes onset. Moreover, the company says it saves members an average of $1,219 to $5,341 in annual healthcare costs across the two programs.
“Health plans and employers want proven results without adding another vendor to manage, and that's exactly what Solera's network delivers,” said Cody Fair, Noom chief commercial officer, in a statement. “Being included alongside a CDC Full Plus-recognized DPP and a no-cost GLP-1 Companion means members get evidence-based support exactly when they need it—whether they're managing their weight, preventing diabetes, or navigating a GLP-1 prescription.”
Other Solera Health weight management partners include Betr, Transform, Weight Watchers and Modify Health.
