Proposed $8B CA prison hospitals could help state economy
Comments
This is a sham under the guise of creating jobs. Construction jobs are temporary, and the facility employees are additional salaries to be paid from what... TAX DOLLARS. What does California not have and desperately need... TAX DOLLARS! This project is slated for over $600 million to build and over $675 million annually in salaries, which does not include the annual operating costs. This "project/plan" does not address the more important issue. Private sector job creation and the reduction of state/federal spending. The prison system does not need an elaborate system or hospital. What a total waste, again, of hard earned taxpayer dollars. We need to rid Washington DC and many State Legislatures of the wasteful spenders.
