NY woman dies on floor of public hospital
Comments
It is unbelievable that you would link the King Harbor stories to this one. Am I to assume that the NY hospital and King-Harbor are the only hospitals to have a patient die in the waiting room. I DON'T THINK SO. It's just kept quieter than in areas where the disadvantaged mostly minority patients have to go for care and every chance the press gets to salt the wound it will take. At this rate there will never be a chance for the resurrection of the hospital. I bet the NY hospital won't close and will remain in good standing. But Watts, Inglewood, Compton, areas of high minorities are constantly in the news even almost a year later. How sad it is that we continue smear campaigns even during an aftermath. This makes me hate the fact that I'm in health care. Problems have solutions but ti takes a caring team to find and implement them. King Harbor didn't get the support it needed in the time of need and was left to die.
