Premier ranks 22 overall, 3 for large companies; 24 members also make annual list
CHARLOTTE, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Modern Healthcare magazine has named the Premier healthcare alliance to its fourth annual list of the Best Places to Work in Healthcare for the third year in a row.
Placing third among companies with 1,000 or more employees, Premier ranked 22 overall. Twenty-four Premier alliance hospital members were also named to the publication's annual listing.
“Being named to this list once more is a true testament to the great work that Premier employees do every day,” said Susan DeVore, Premier president and CEO. “It is through our efforts to serve the industry, our members and each other that we are making a real difference in healthcare.”
According to Modern Healthcare, Premier made the list because of its continual investments in employee wellness, corporate social responsibility, executive-level transparency and commitment to employee input. Continued DeVore, “Hats off to our more than 1,300 employees who live their values each day, and a big congrats to our member hospitals that were placed with this honor.”
Premier employees practice a set of values in their daily work, including passion for performance, innovation, focus on people and integrity. Because Premier’s success is based on the success of its members, it recently integrated business units to reflect the changes that are occurring in healthcare, such as reform regulations and the need to break down silos.
