Tenet creates subsidiary for billing, communications

Conifer Health Solutions, an operating subsidiary recently created by Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare, will offer "revenue cycle management and clinical communications services" not only to Tenet's 53 hospitals, but also for several other hospitals as well. On the billing side of things, Conifer Revenue Cycle Solutions will offer "end-to-end billing and collection services." Currently, four former Tenet hospitals and six other hospitals receive service from Conifer Revenue Cycle Solutions.

Conifer Patient Communications currently handles communication services for roughly 100 hospitals, primarily in a marketing capacity with patients and doctors. According to Dorothy Rubio, president of Conifer Patient Communications, it used to market under the name MEDContact.
