Testing of patients is just another ploy by hospitals to cover their A--. Since Medicare refused to pay for these infections I believe a study from Medicare would show the millions/billions Medicare has had to pay out,
My cost was upward of $400,000.

It would be great to have someone post a cost estimate for universal testing for MRSA, and thoughts about who pays for the testing. The next question might be whether or not to create a publicly available database of results so the testing does not have to be done more than once.
