Rush Medical ships unused supplies overseas to needy hospitals
Rush Medical Center has decided that it will do something with the unused medical supplies that otherwise would end up in a landfill. Working together, staff and medical students collect unused supplies and equipment and send them to overseas hospitals and clinics that can't afford such supplies. Since January the program, Rush Remedy, has collected and donated 12,000 pounds of unused supplies such as surgical gloves and packs, gauze, bandages and catheters. Press release
