If you think there's little common ground to be found among the varied stakeholders in healthcare, you'd be wrong. Led by Senate veteran Edward Kennedy (D-MA), a group embracing hospitals, health plans, consumer lobbyists, doctors and more has been holding talks on healthcare reform, and believe it or not, they may be making progress. One area that everyone seems to agree upon is that any major reform will have to include a requirement that every American carry health insurance--though that begs the question of how to enforce the rule, and how to help lower-income patients pay for coverage.
