In Indiana, as in many other states around the U.S., they're having trouble getting new doctors to enter primary care. Now, there's a new bill being proposed which would pay up to $5,000 a year in loan reimbursement to new primary care physicians. While the bill's author admits that $5,000 per year will hardly dent the average medical school debt of $150,000, she hopes the gift will keep some new graduates to practice in Indiana. Article
