Paying for a medical home directly, without health plans as intermediaries, could give patients 24/7 access to care while lowering costs to the system as a whole. That, at least, is the claim made by Norm Wu of medical home company Qliance Medical Management, along with a handful of independent primary care practices that have reached the same conclusion.
