Experian enters healthcare industry by acquiring SearchAmerica
Major credit-reporting bureau Experian PLC has agreed to acquire SearchAmerica Inc., a tiny 50 employee company that works for hospitals to help determine how likely patients are to pay their medical bills. This puts Experian in the healthcare business along with other major credit-reporting bureaus Equifax Inc. and TransUnion LLC.
