SPOTLIGHT: Elderly falls a $20B problem in 2006, and costs are rising

New research from the Agency for Health Research and Quality has concluded that three in 10 elderly patients visiting the ED after a fall were admitted in 2006, a big piece of the $20 billion cost for treating falls for patients over age 65.
