SPOTLIGHT: CT-based BCBS enrollees may lose hospital coverage
Middletown, CT-based Middlesex Hospital will not accept insurance from Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield members as of May 1 unless a new agreement is reached. In recent days, negotiations over terms and conditions of reimbursement have broken down. Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield is the state's largest provider of health insurance. Members of the insurer's point-of-service plans would be covered on an out-of-network basis, but would be required to pay a larger percentage of their medical bills. Article
