CCHIT to certify e-prescribing systems
The Certification Commission for Healthcare Information Technology has set plans to begin certifying stand-alone e-prescribing systems next year. The process should be launched in July 2009, after the group goes through a public comment period and a demonstration. This follows up on its existing programs for certifying EMRs and a pending plan to certify RHIOs. Article
